Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 25 October 2026

Please read these terms before using our website or ordering a service from Maryland IT.

1.About these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or order services from MARYLAND IT LTD. ("Maryland IT", "we", "us"). By using the website or accepting a proposal from us, you agree to these terms. If a signed proposal says something different, the proposal applies for that project.

2.Our services

We provide ready-made and custom websites and software, including eCommerce websites, POS systems, business management, attendance and inventory systems, along with domain registration, hosting and support. The details of each service are described on this website and in your proposal.

3.Quotes and proposals

Before work starts, we send a written proposal with the scope, price and timeline. Work begins once you accept the proposal and make any first payment it requires.

Requests outside the agreed scope are quoted separately and may change the timeline.

4.Payments

  • Payments are made in the stages set out in the proposal or invoice.
  • We accept bKash, Nagad and bank transfer, as shown on your invoice or payment link.
  • Prices are in the currency stated in the proposal or invoice.
  • If a payment is late, we may pause work, delivery or hosting until it is received.

5.Your responsibilities

  • Send the content we need, such as your logo, text, product details and images, on time.
  • Review our work and give feedback within a reasonable time.
  • Make sure you have the right to use the content you give us.
  • Keep your login details safe and tell us if you think they have been misused.

6.Delivery and approval

We deliver in the stages agreed in the proposal. When a stage is delivered, you review it and either approve it or send corrections that are within scope. Delays in content or feedback from your side can move the delivery date.

7.Ownership

Custom projects: after full payment, you own the website or software we created for your project, except third-party parts such as open-source libraries, themes or plugins, which stay under their own licences.

Ready-made solutions: you own your content and data. After full payment you may use the solution, set up for your business, for as long as the agreed terms in your proposal allow. The underlying product remains ours and may be provided to other clients.

We may show work we have done for you in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

8.Domain and hosting

Domains and hosting are paid for a fixed period and must be renewed before they expire. If a renewal is not paid, the website, software or email may stop working and the domain may be lost. We can transfer your domain and files to you on request once all payments are complete.

9.Support and maintenance

Each project includes the support period stated in its proposal. After that, support, updates and new features are charged as agreed with you.

10.Cancellation and refunds

Either side may cancel a project in writing. Work completed up to the cancellation date is payable. Any refund is handled according to the terms in your proposal.

11.Third-party services

Some features depend on other companies, such as payment providers, SMS and email services, and hosting providers. We are not responsible for outages, price changes or policy changes by those companies.

12.Limitation of liability

We work carefully, but we cannot promise that a website or system will be free of every error or always available. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost data, and our total liability for a project is limited to the amount you paid us for it.

13.Confidentiality

We keep your business information confidential and use it only to deliver our services to you.

14.Using this website

Do not misuse this website, for example by trying to access the admin area without permission or sending spam through our forms. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

15.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Dhaka.

16.Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: [email protected], +880 1904-511487.
